Shaymiah Bailey continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double with 23 points and 15 rebounds. She is on a roll when it comes to boards, as she's now pulled down nine or more in each of the last 18 games she's played. Meanwhile, you're bound to get a positive result if you outscore your opponent every quarter, and that's exactly how it played out for Parkland on Friday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that they blew Glenn out of the water with a 76-28 final score. The Mustangs have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight matchups by 26 points or more this season.
Parkland's win came from a few key players Mount Tabor will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Kimora Brooks, who dropped a double-double with 19 points and 15 boards. Those 15 rebounds gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Azari Wilkins, who went 9-for-13 to rack up 22 points and three steals.
Parkland has been performing well recently as they've won 11 of their last 14 games, which provided a nice bump to their 15-9 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.5 points over those games. As for Mount Tabor, their victory bumped their record up to 9-14.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Mount Tabor has been smashing the glass this season, having averaged 35 boards per game. However, it's not like Parkland struggles in that department as they've been averaging 33 rebounds. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
Mount Tabor came out on top in a nail-biter against Parkland when the teams last played on Tuesday, sneaking past 56-54. Will Mount Tabor repeat their success, or does Parkland have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
