Barstow has gone a perfect 3-0 against Burroughs recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Barstow Aztecs will challenge the Burroughs Burros at 3:15 p.m. Barstow will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.

Barstow barely beat Silver Valley the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. Barstow put the hurt on Silver Valley with a sharp 10-2 win on Friday. The Aztecs' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Barstow saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Santiago Lopez, who scored a run while going 2-for-4. That's the most hits Lopez has posted since back in March of 2024.

Meanwhile, Burroughs suffered their closest defeat since February 29, 2024 on Thursday. They fell just short of Sultana by a score of 8-6. The Burros haven't had much luck with the Sultans recently, as the team has come up short the last six times they've met.

Burroughs' loss dropped their record down to 7-2. As for Barstow, they now have a winning record of 4-3.

Friday's contest might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Barstow has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .435. However, it's not like Burroughs struggles in that department as they've averaged .503. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.

Barstow came out on top in a nail-biter against Burroughs in their previous meeting back in February of 2024, sneaking past 5-3. The rematch might be a little tougher for Barstow since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
