Crimson Cliffs has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will square off against the Duchesne Eagles at 12:50 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Crimson Cliffs focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 23 on Tuesday.
Last Tuesday, Crimson Cliffs lost to Beaver at home by a decisive 51-37 margin. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Crimson Cliffs in their matchups with Beaver: they've now lost three in a row.
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Kinsey Plewe, who scored 13 points along with 5 rebounds and 3 steals. The matchup was her third in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Kenadee Richey , who scored 7 points along with 7 rebounds.
Meanwhile, Duchesne earned a 49-40 victory over Union last Tuesday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Duchesne.
Duchesne found their leader in underclassman Kira Grant, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 10 steals. Chezney Farnsworth was another key contributor, scoring 16 points along with 5 rebounds.
The losses dropped Crimson Cliffs to 0-3 and Beaver to 1-1.
This contest is one where the number of possessions is likely to be a big factor: Crimson Cliffs have been smashing the glass this season, having averaged 25.7 rebounds per game. However, it's not like Duchesne struggles in that department as they've been even better at 26 per game. Given these competing strengths, it'll be interesting to see how their clash plays out.
