The Dobson Mustangs lost against the Basha Bears back in December of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. Dobson took a serious blow against Basha, falling 79-47. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Dobson in their matchups with Basha: they've now lost four in a row.
Several Mustangs players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Zayn Young, who scored 13 points. Anthony Bolton was another key contributor, scoring nine points.
Dobson's defeat dropped their record down to 6-5. As for Basha, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 9-1.
Dobson will be home for the holidays to greet Mesa at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Mesa presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Dobson in Arizona (Mesa is ranked 34th, while Dobson is ranked 105th). Basha will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Centennial at 8:30 p.m. on December 27th.
