Edmonds-Woodway has been on the road for two straight, but on Wednesday they'll finally head home. They will take on Marysville Getchell at 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Hopefully Edmonds-Woodway focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 11 on Saturday.
Last Saturday, Edmonds-Woodway was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 55-49 to Lincoln.
Despite the loss, Edmonds-Woodway saw an underclassman step up: #23 Dj karl scored 9 points along with 6 rebounds and 5 steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Gabriel Cavalier, who scored 11 points.
Meanwhile, Marysville Getchell waltzed into Saturday's game with two straight wins but they left with three. They enjoyed a cozy 57-40 victory over Ferndale.
Ballard's win bumped their season record to 0-0 while Edmonds-Woodway's defeat dropped theirs to 0-1.
Edmonds-Woodway lost to Marysville Getchell at home by a decisive 63-47 margin in their previous meeting back in December of 2022. Can Edmonds-Woodway avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
