The Carolina Friends Quakers suffered their closest defeat yet this season on Tuesday. They fell just short of Cresset Christian Academy by a score of 60-58. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Cresset Christian Academy's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Mario Jarett, who scored 30 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Jarett has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Branson Green, who scored 19 points.
Carolina Friends' defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 4-9. As for Cresset Christian Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 2-9.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Carolina Friends will take on Woods Charter at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Cresset Christian Academy, they will be playing at home against Cape Fear Christian Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Cape Fear Christian Academy is looking to tack on another W to their three-game streak on the road.
