Berea can finally bid farewell to their six-game losing streak dating back to last season thanks to their game on Monday. They walked away with a 56-47 win over the Burgin Bulldogs. The Pirates' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Berea's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-3. As for Burgin, they are on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.

Berea will head out on the road to take on Lee County at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Burgin has already played their next contest, a 47-44 defeat against Eminence on the 10th.
