A Season-Best Performance from Deandre Montgomery Leads North Side over South Hills
North Side was led to victory by Deandre Montgomery, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Thursday. Montgomery rushed for 133 yards and four touchdowns. The performance marked the most rushing yards he has had since back in September of 2023.
For the year, Montgomery has averaged 7.2 receiving yards per game. He is looking even better than he did last year: after five games last season, he was only averaging 3.2 receiving yards per game.

On Friday, Arlington Heights got the W thanks in part to Kaeden Grant playing the best football he has all season. Grant threw for 161 yards and three touchdowns while completing 73.7% of his passes, and also punched in two touchdowns on the ground.
The win for Arlington Heights keeps them at an undefeated 6-0. Grant and Arlington Heights will look to defend their home field on Thursday against Saginaw at 7:30 p.m.

Carson James' Big Game Leads Arlington Heights over Polytechnic
Arlington Heights picked up their sixth consecutive win on Friday thanks in part to Carson James. James turned in nothing short of a gem, rushing for 102 yards and two touchdowns on only seven carries. His longest rush was for an impressive 51 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total.
Unfortunately for Polytechnic, this isn't the first big game they've seen from James. Back in September of 2023 (the last time James saw the Parrots), he rushed for 96 yards and two touchdowns on only 13 carries.

Big Game from Thomas As Paschal Won 37-8
Rounding off our Top Five is Jashaun Thomas of Paschal. Thomas threw for 228 yards and a touchdown while picking up 10.9 yards per attempt, and also rushed for 48 yards and a touchdown.
The victory (which was Paschal's fourth in a row) raised their record to 4-1. Thomas and Paschal will square off against Polytechnic at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
