Mills is 3-0 against Monta Vista since December of 2018, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Mills Vikings will be staying on the road to face off against the Monta Vista Matadors at 7:30 p.m. on December 22nd. Hopefully Mills focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up seven on Friday.
Last Friday, Mills was able to grind out a solid win over Ann Sobrato, taking the game 50-40.
Mills' win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jefriel Bacorro, who scored 11 points. The contest was Bacorro's fifth in a row with at least ten points. Joshua Lee was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with four steals.
Meanwhile, Monta Vista fought the good fight in their overtime match against Leland on Thursday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They took a 58-50 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Chargers. Monta Vista has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Mills' win bumped their record up to 3-5. As for Monta Vista, their loss dropped their record down to 5-3.
Mills skirted past Monta Vista 50-47 in their previous meeting back in December of 2019. Will Mills repeat their success, or does Monta Vista have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
