Jefferson Academy's loss came despite strong showings from Jimeto Orji and Josh Neely. Orji scored nine points along with six rebounds, while Neely scored 13 points along with seven rebounds.
Jefferson Academy struggled to work together and finished the game with only three assists. That's the fewest assists they've managed all season.
Leading Stargate School to victory were Dylan Perkins and Hunter Roark. Perkins scored 17 points along with six rebounds and two blocks, while Roark dropped a double-double on 18 points and 12 rebounds. That's the first time this season that Perkins posted two or more blocks.
Jefferson Academy's loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 7-4. As for Stargate School, their victory bumped their record up to 6-3.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Jefferson Academy will face off against Kent Denver at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Kent Denver has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 931 points over their last 11 matches. As for Stargate School, they will head out on the road to challenge The Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
