Baseball Recap: Glendale Prep Academy Wins Going Away Against Kingman Academy

Glendale Prep Academy got themselves on the board against Kingman Academy on Friday, but Kingman Academy never followed suit. They were the clear victors by a 10-0 margin over the Tigers. The result was nothing new for the Griffins, who have now won five matchups by ten runs or more so far this season.

Not much got past Logan Middendorf, who gave up just two hits and racked up seven Ks to keep Kingman Academy off the board. Middendorf has been consistent : he hasn't given up more than one earned run in five consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Corbin Kim and Nathaniel Jensen did most of the damage at the plate: Kim scored two runs and stole a base while going 3-for-3, while Jensen scored two runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-2. Jensen has been hot, having posted at least one stolen base the last six times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Alex Rodriguez, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and two RBI.

Glendale Prep Academy's record now sits at 8-1. As for Kingman Academy, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-9-1 record this season.

Glendale Prep Academy wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 16-5 victory against Scottsdale Preparatory Academy on the 5th. As for Kingman Academy, they will take on Bagdad at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The Tigers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Sultans have averaged an impressive 11.2 runs per game this season.
