On Saturday, The Stuart Hall Knights faced the Branson Bulls in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Stuart Hall took down Branson 44-26. The victory was nothing new for Stuart Hall as they're now sitting on five straight.
Despite the defeat, Branson had strong showings from Jaden Sher, who rushed for 112 yards and a touchdown on only 15 carries, and Mo Jacoby, who rushed for 26 yards and three touchdowns. Sher was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 65 yards.
Stuart Hall's win was their third straight at home, bumping their overall record up to 6-1. Even more impressive is the teams they beat to make that streak: Branson, Tomales, and Priory. As for Branson, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-3.
Stuart Hall will head out on the road to face off against Calistoga at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Calistoga will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps California Rankings (they are ranked 54th, while Stuart Hall is ranked eighth). As for Branson, they will be playing at home against Tomales at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
