The Kit Carson Wildcats meant business on Friday, getting buckets from all over the court against a Longhorns squad that has allowed just 28.6 points per contest. Kit Carson took their match on the road with ease, bagging a 57-24 win over Springfield. The score was close at the half, but Kit Carson pulled away in the second half with 38 points.
Kit Carson's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Shay Rady, who scored 17 points along with seven assists and five steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Payge Booker-rady, who scored ten points along with nine rebounds.
The win was the third in a row for Kit Carson, bringing their record for this year to 3-0. They've been dominating during the contests in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 44.67 points. As for Springfield, their loss dropped their record down to 4-1.
Kit Carson and McClave will face off at 7:00 p.m. on December 16th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. McClave's defense has only allowed 29 points per game this season, so Kit Carson's offense will have their work cut out for Kit Carson. Springfield will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Cheyenne Wells at 2:00 p.m. on January 6, 2024.
