Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Colleyville Heritage to victory, but perhaps none more so than Journee Hampton, who scored nine points along with five assists and three steals. Hampton has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last four times she's played. Suliane Davis was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with eight rebounds and four steals.
Richland's loss came despite strong showings from Bree Hartfiel and Katie Laufer. Hartfiel scored 11 points, while Laufer scored five points. Hartfiel continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played.
Richland struggled to work together and finished the game with only an assist. They were crushed by their opponents in that department as Colleyville Heritage racked up 12 assists.
Colleyville Heritage has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matches, which provided a massive bump to their 19-9 record this season. As for Richland, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-19 record this season.
Colleyville Heritage will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against the Falcons at 5:45 p.m. Lake Dallas is no doubt hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses. As for Richland, they will head out on the road to face off against the Hawks at 5:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Birdville is coming into the matchup on a six-game losing streak.
