The Arizona College Prep Knights will head out on the road to challenge the Canyon del Oro Dorados at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Arizona College Prep is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Saturday. They blew past Centennial 9-1. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Knights.

Liliana Gagnon looked comfortable as she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit over four innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than one hit in three consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Taylor Estrella was a standout: she went 1-for-2 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April. The team also got some help courtesy of Paula Cantu, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.
Arizona College Prep was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .393. They are a perfect 19-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.
Meanwhile, Canyon del Oro had already won 11 in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 7.1 runs) and they went ahead and made it 12 on Saturday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Hawks a 10-0 shutout.
Sammy Hudgens was excellent, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Taya Kelly, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI and one run.
Canyon del Oro's win was their 11th straight at home, which pushed their record up to 29-3. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.3 runs over those games. As for Arizona College Prep, their record now sits at 23-7.
Tuesday's game might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Arizona College Prep has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .468. However, it's not like Canyon del Oro struggles in that department as they've averaged .498. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
