Grand Junction has gone a perfect 3-0 against Glenwood Springs recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. The Tigers will look to defend their home field against the Demons at 4:00 p.m. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.
Grand Junction is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. Everything went their way against Montrose on Friday as they made off with a 22-1 victory. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last six times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Andrew Henderson made a splash no matter where he played. He pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. What's more, he posted four strikeouts, the most he's had since back in May of 2024. He was even better at the plate, scoring three runs while going 3-for-4.
In other batting news, Tyler Johnson was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with four RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in April of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaleb David, who scored two runs while going 2-for-2.
Grand Junction always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .628. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Montrose only posted an OBP of .200.
The home team had won the previous six meetings between Glenwood Springs and Steamboat Springs, and Glenwood Springs kept the tradition alive. The Demons were the clear victors by a 14-6 margin over the Sailors on Saturday. The Demons haven't had any issues with the Sailors recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive win against them.
Like Grand Junction, Glenwood Springs also got a great game from a two-way player: Kodiak Welch. On the mound, he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Welch also tossed no walks, which is notable because Glenwood Springs is undefeated when he allows at most two walks, but 3-4 otherwise. Welch was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-3.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Josh Doll, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. He is becoming a predictor of Glenwood Springs' success: when he posts at least two runs the team is undefeated (and 3-4 when he doesn't). Jackson Irving was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 3-for-4.
Grand Junction pushed their record up to 10-4 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.7 runs over those games. As for Glenwood Springs, their victory bumped their record up to 7-4.
Grand Junction was able to grind out a solid win over Glenwood Springs in their previous meeting back in May of 2024, winning 11-7. Do the Tigers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Demons turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
