Leading Lamar to victory were Ben Noonan and Caleb Green. Noonan dropped a double-double on 16 points and 11 rebounds, while Green scored 19 points along with seven rebounds. Green also posted two blocks for the first time this season. Another player making a difference was Lane Miller, who scored seven points along with six rebounds.
Baptist Prep's defeat was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 0-8. As for Lamar, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 6-6.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Baptist Prep is on the road again on Monday and play against White County Central at 7:30 p.m. on December 18th. White County Central is coming into the matchup on a three-game losing streak. As for Lamar, they will head out on the road to face off against Jasper at 7:00 a.m. on Monday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Arkansas (Jasper is ranked 155th, while Lamar is ranked 141st).
