Coleman fought the good fight in their extra-innings contest against Beaverton on Monday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell 12-7 to the Beavers. The Comets' loss signaled the end of their five-game winning streak.

Elley Johnson and Klaira Sysak stepped up to the plate in a big way. Johnson went 2-for-4 with one run and one RBI, while Sysak went 1-for-4 with two RBI and one run. Another player making a difference was Eliza Lewis, who went 2-for-5 with two runs and one stolen base.

Coleman's defeat dropped their record down to 15-17. As for Beaverton, with the win, they broke their six-game losing streak and moved their record to 5-17.

Coming up, Coleman will take on Reed City at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Beaverton, they will square off against Harrison at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Beavers are facing the Hornets at the right time seeing as the Hornets are stuck on a seven-game losing streak.
