Basketball Recap: Rock Springs Christian Academy Makes It Ten in a Row at Home

Rock Springs Christian Academy put another one in the bag on Monday to keep their perfect season alive. They came out on top against Covenant Academy by a score of 73-60. Rock Springs Christian Academy's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Rock Springs Christian Academy's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Joshua McDaniel, who posted 27 points and six steals. With that strong performance, McDaniel is now averaging an impressive 17.5 points per game. Another player making a difference was Jase Nichols, who earned 18 points along with seven rebounds and six steals.

Covenant Academy's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Ryan Stevens, who went 6 of 12 on his way to 20 points in addition to eight rebounds and three blocks, and Blake Bartow, who went 7 of 10from beyond the arc on his way to 24 points. Stevens is on a roll when it comes to boards, as he's now pulled down eight or more in the last four games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of William Wilson, who put up three points.

Rock Springs Christian Academy pushed their record up to 4-0 with the victory, which was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 73.7 points per game. As for Covenant Academy, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-5.

Rock Springs Christian Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, an 85-38 defeat against Furtah Prep on the 10th. As for Covenant Academy, they will welcome Central Fellowship Christian Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday.
