The Belleview Christian Bruins had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 40.5 points), and they went ahead and made it five on Tuesday. They came out on top against Front Range Baptist by a score of 67-55. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Belleview Christian to victory, but perhaps none more so than Garrett Owen, who scored 18 points along with four steals and two blocks. Owen is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last 11 games he's played. Joshua Norman was another key contributor, scoring 17 points along with seven rebounds and two steals.
Belleview Christian's win was their 17th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 11-1. They've been dominating during the games in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 36.41 points. As for Front Range Baptist, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 5-3.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Belleview Christian will face off against Dawson School at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Dawson School will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Colorado Rankings (they are ranked 214th, while Belleview Christian is ranked 60th). As for Front Range Baptist, they will head out on the road to take on Lone Star at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
