The NCSSM: Durham Unicorns waltzed into their matchup on Tuesday with two straight wins but they left with three. They strolled past Raleigh Charter with points to spare, taking the game 49-34. That's another feather in the cap for NCSSM: Durham, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Ethann Burkett was his usual excellent self, scoring 18 points along with two steals. He hasn't dropped below two steals for five straight games. Another player making a difference was Kelcey Robinson, who scored four points along with seven rebounds and four steals.
NCSSM: Durham has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a massive bump to their 8-8 record this season. As for Raleigh Charter, they are on a eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-9.
Coincidentally, both teams will both be playing Franklin Academy the next time they take the court. Raleigh Charter will host Franklin Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, while NCSSM: Durham will host them at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
