After a string of six wins, Broadway's good fortune finally ran out on Wednesday. They fell just short of the Wilson Memorial Green Hornets by a score of 3-2. Having soared to a lofty 11 runs in the game before, the Gobblers couldn't push the score so high this time.

Broadway's loss dropped their record down to 13-3. As for Wilson Memorial, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 9-6.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Broadway will square off against Turner Ashby at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The Knights' pitching crew has only allowed 3.4 runs per game this season, so the Gobblers' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Wilson Memorial, they will take on Buffalo Gap at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
