Berks Catholic entered their tilt with Wyomissing on Friday with three consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with four. They blew past the Spartans 7-1. Considering the Saints have won five matches by more than five runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Trey Stricker was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run while striking out nine over six innings pitched. Stricker was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-3.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Owen Schalk, who went 1-for-3 with one triple, two RBI, and one run. Another player making a difference was Aidan Curley, who went 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

Berks Catholic's record is now 6-2. As for Wyomissing, the defeat snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 4-2 record.

Berks Catholic and Wyomissing should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Pennsylvania Rankings. The Saints (ranked 131st) will meet Schuylkill Valley (ranked 281st) at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Wyomissing will take on Pottsville at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday with a big rank advantage (54 vs. 349).
