Maynard/Bromfield moved up to 128 from 154 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in Midland Wachusett - D. The Tigers were able to move up by beating Narragansett Regional 19-14.
Maynard/Bromfield and the Warriors played the most contested game in the league this week, with Maynard/Bromfield eventually emerging with a 19-14 victory. Zach Boerman threw for 149 yards in the win.
Harold Ogilvie's team's dynamic duo of Boerman and Bryan Kiley proved tough for Narragansett Regional to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week.
West Boylston/Tahanto's Alex Thomas and Bryan Hayes led the league in both passing and receiving yards. Thomas has thrown for 320 yards this season, while Hayes, a 6-foot-3 receiver, has 8 catches for 157 yards. Sean Peterson from the Tigers leads the league in rushing with 367 yards.
One of Midland Wachusett - D's premier quarterbacks will go head-to-head with its top pass rusher when the Lions and Maynard/Bromfield face off next week.
The Tigers are currently in first, while West Boylston/Tahanto is in third.
