Even though Blue Ridge Christian has not done well against the Warriors recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Saturday. Blue Ridge Christian had just enough and edged the Warriors out 58-55. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 64-34, which was the final score in Ridgeview Christian's tilt against the Warriors on Friday. Ridgeview Christian was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 36-10.
Blue Ridge Christian's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-4. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.0 points per game. As for Ridgeview Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-9.
Blue Ridge Christian beat the Crusaders 48-41 in their previous meeting last Saturday. The rematch might be a little tougher for Blue Ridge Christian since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
