Softball Recap: Hale Center Sets Scoring Season-High Against New Deal

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Hale Center). Everything went their way against the New Deal Lions on Monday as the Hale Center Owls made off with a 22-6 victory. The result was nothing new for the Owls, who have now won nine games by six runs or more so far this season.

Hale Center got a massive performance out of Madison Dahl, who scored four runs and stole Two bases. while going 5-for-5. The dominant performance also gave Dahl a new career-high in RBI (two). Another player making a difference was Bella Ruiz, who went 3-for-5 with one home run, five RBI, and three runs.

Hale Center always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .717. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Hale Center's win bumped their record up to 12-5. As for New Deal, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-7.

Hale Center will have a chance to go back-to-back against New Deal: the pair will be back at it again later today.
