ALA - Gilbert North was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 24th straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against the Poston Butte Broncos, falling 17-11. One positive for the Eagles, at least, is that this was the most points they've scored all season.

Makenzi Ravelo made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with two runs, two doubles, and one triple. That's the most runs she has posted since back in April of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Coco Gomez, who went 3-for-5 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI.

Even though they lost, ALA - Gilbert North was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .432. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.

ALA - Gilbert North's loss dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Poston Butte, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 11-5.

While ALA - Gilbert North had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 3:45 p.m. on Wednesday.
