After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Ashley, the Coastal Christian Centurions were happy to have found some success on Tuesday. They came out on top against Southeastern Christian Academy by a score of 60-49. Given Coastal Christian's advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 32nd, while Southeastern Christian Academy is ranked 152nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Aidan Davies continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 31 points. The contest was his fifth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Noah Anderson, who scored 9 points.
Coastal Christian's win bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Southeastern Christian Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-1.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Coastal Christian will take on Thales Academy Apex at 6:45 p.m. on Thursday. As for Southeastern Christian Academy, they will head out on the road to face off against Scotland Christian Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Scotland Christian Academy focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 20 last Tuesday.
