After a string of four wins, the West-Oak Warriors's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They received a tough blow as they fell 48-31 to Walhalla. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for West-Oak in their matchups with Walhalla: they've now lost nine in a row.
West-Oak's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Reagan Mobley, who scored eight points along with seven rebounds and four steals. Mobley is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last eight games she's played. Miley White was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with seven rebounds.
West-Oak's loss dropped their record down to 12-4. As for Walhalla, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 12-6 record this season.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. West-Oak will challenge Crescent at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Crescent is out to stop a three-game streak of losses at home. Walhalla on the road again on Tuesday and play against Seneca at 6:00 p.m. on January 16th. Seneca and Walhalla are at an even 5-5 over their past ten head-to-heads.
