The Bible Baptist Christian Wolves put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They blew past Victory Christian Academy 83-29 at home. Bible Baptist Christian might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team's won nine matchups by 28 points or more this season.
It was another big night for Alex Forbes, who scored 20 points along with six assists and three steals. Those six assists set a new season-high mark for him. Jaquayvion Gilmore was another key contributor, scoring 15 points along with nine rebounds and five assists.
Despite the loss, Victory Christian Academy still got an impressive performance from Nelson Palacios, who scored nine points. Palacios scored a full 31% of Victory Christian Academy's points, the third time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Christian Sutton, who scored two points along with five assists.
Bible Baptist Christian pushed their record up to 12-0 with that win, which was their fourth straight at home. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 82.0 points per game. As for Victory Christian Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 4-2.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Bible Baptist Christian will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Statesboro at 6:00 p.m. on January 2, 2024. As for Victory Christian Academy, they will head out on the road to face off against Faith Christian Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Faith Christian Academy will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Florida Rankings (they are ranked 649th, while Victory Christian Academy is ranked 323rd).
