Jeff Davis lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Malachi Smith, who scored 16 points. Smith hasn't dropped below 16 points for four straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of J.j Benjamin, who scored 11 points.
Leading Fitzgerald to victory were Jason Ferguson and Victor Copeland. Ferguson scored 13 points, while Copeland scored 17 points. Bryce Smith was another key contributor, scoring eight points.
Jeff Davis has traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-14 record this season. As for Fitzgerald, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 10-9.
