It was a good run, but the Foothill Falcons unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Wednesday. They fell to Bishop Gorman 59-54. Foothill has struggled against Bishop Gorman recently, as their matchup on Wednesday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Despite the loss, Foothill still got an impressive performance from Zak Abdalla, who scored 18 points along with five assists. The game was Abdalla's fourth in a row with at least ten points. Shawn Salazar was another key contributor, scoring nine points.
Foothill's loss dropped their record down to 8-6. As for Bishop Gorman, their win was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 12-2.
Foothill will take on Silverado at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Silverado's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last eight contests. Bishop Gorman won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Mojave at 6:30 p.m. on January 4th. Hopefully Mojave focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up five on Tuesday.
