Meanwhile, Loganville Christian Academy fought the good fight in their overtime matchup against Flowery Branch on Saturday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell to the Falcons 59-54. That's two games in a row now that Loganville Christian Academy has lost by exactly five points.
Despite the loss, Loganville Christian Academy saw an underclassman step up: Sanai Cyrus dropped a double-double on 24 points and 13 rebounds. Cyrus scored a full 44.4% of Loganville Christian Academy's points, the third time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. Addi Petitt was another key contributor, scoring 12 points.
Providence Christian Academy's victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-0. As for Loganville Christian Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-4.
Friday's contest is shaping up to be a masterclass in shooting: Providence Christian Academy have been dynamite from deep this season, having made 54% of their threes per game. However, it's not like Loganville Christian Academy struggles in that department as they've made 40.8% of their threes per game this season. Given these competing strengths, it'll be interesting to see how their clash plays out.
