The Bishop Brossart Mustangs will head out on the road to square off against the Highlands Bluebirds at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Bishop Brossart has now lost 11 straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 13.
Bishop Brossart suffered their biggest defeat since December 16, 2023 on Thursday. They were the victim of a rough 70-45 loss at the hands of Scott. Bishop Brossart has struggled against Scott recently, as their contest on Thursday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
Meanwhile, Highlands suffered a rough 55-32 loss at the hands of Archbishop Moeller on Sunday. While losing is never fun, Highlands can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps's basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 55th in Kentucky, while Archbishop Moeller is ranked eighth in Ohio).
Bishop Brossart bumped their record down to 3-13 with that loss, which was their fifth straight on the road. As for Highlands, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-9 record this season.
Bishop Brossart came up short against Highlands in their previous meeting back in January of 2023, falling 106-99. Can Bishop Brossart avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
