Americas is 10-0 against Eastlake since November of 2018, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Americas Trail Blazers will head out on the road to face off against the Eastlake Falcons at 7:30 p.m. Both teams are coming into the game red-hot, with Americas sitting on four straight wins and Eastlake on five.
Last Friday, Americas was able to grind out a solid win over Franklin, taking the game 49-38.
JOSH PICHARDO and AIDEN MARQUEZ were among the main playmakers for Americas as the former scored 12 points and the latter scored ten points along with two steals. The team also got some help courtesy of VINNIE VICENCIO, who scored six points.
Meanwhile, Eastlake didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Coronado on Friday, but they still walked away with a 37-32 victory.
Eastlake got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Braeden Quigley out in front who scored ten points along with six rebounds and three steals. Mateo Lares was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with three steals.
Americas pushed their record up to 22-2 with that win, which was their 12th straight at home. As for Eastlake, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten contests, which provided a nice bump to their 15-11 record this season.
This contest is shaping up to be a blowout: Americas hasn't had any problem running up the score this season, having only averaged 51.4 points per game. It's a different story for Eastlake, though, as they've been averaging only 52.2 points per game. The only thing between Americas and another offensive beatdown is Eastlake. Will they be able to keep them contained?
Everything went Americas' way against Eastlake in their previous matchup back in November of 2023 as Americas made off with a 51-31 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Americas since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
