Last Tuesday, Jackson Heights didn't have too much trouble with Atchison County at home as they won 48-30.
Jackson Heights' victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Dawson Cochren, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 11 rebounds. That makes it two consecutive games in which Cochren has scored at least 25% of Jackson Heights' points. Taylor Bosley was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 12 points and 10 rebounds.
Meanwhile, Pleasant Ridge took their matchup at home on Tuesday with ease, bagging a 78-12 victory over McLouth. With that victory, Pleasant Ridge brought their scoring average up to 57 points per game.
Pleasant Ridge got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Ava Potter out in front who scored 20 points along with 6 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Emma Murphy, who scored 17 points along with 7 rebounds and 3 steals.
The victory got Jackson Heights back to even at 1-1. As for Pleasant Ridge, the win also got them back to even at 1-1.
