On Friday, Balko was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap  as they fell  52-47 to Arapaho. Balko has now  taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
 Balko's lost  despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being   Emelie Trentham, who  scored 17 points along with 5  rebounds and 5  steals. Trentham scored a full 36.2% of Balko's points, the second time in a row she's  earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of  Aspen Freeman, who  scored 12 points along with 6  rebounds.
 Balko's loss dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Arapaho, their win bumped their record up to 1-0.
 Balko will head out on the road to face off against Felt at 6:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. Felt and Balko are at an even 5-5 over their past ten head-to-heads. Arapaho will have some time to savor their  victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Cheyenne/Reydon at 6:30  p.m.  on January 26, 2024.
