There's no place like home for the Hubbard Eagles, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road on Tuesday. They put the hurt on McKinley with a sharp 58-36 win on Friday. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest win Hubbard has managed all season.
Hubbard got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Javon Greene out in front who scored 13 points. Greene also posted two blocks for the first time this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Gavin Rybicki, who scored 11 points.
Hubbard pushed their record up to 3-1 with that victory, which was their third straight at home. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.0 points per game. As for McKinley, they now have a losing record at 2-3.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hubbard will take on Struthers at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for McKinley, they will head out on the road to face off against Poland Seminary at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Poland Seminary presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than McKinley in Ohio (Poland Seminary is ranked 71st, while McKinley is ranked 334th).
