Noblesville has been on the road for three straight, but on Friday they'll finally head home. They will be home for the holidays to greet the Westfield Shamrocks at 7:30 p.m. Both teams come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Saturday, Noblesville didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against Indianapolis Crispus Attucks, but they still walked away with a 51-46 victory. Despite the win, that was the fewest points Noblesville has scored all year.
Hunter Walston was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 20 points and ten rebounds. He also posted two blocks for the first time this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Baron Walker, who scored eight points.
Meanwhile, Westfield put another one in the bag on Saturday to keep their perfect season alive. They were the clear victor by a 50-25 margin over Bethesda Christian. With Westfield ahead 34-12 at the half, the match was all but over already.
Nic Book continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 13 points and 11 rebounds. The game was his fourth in a row with at least ten points. Will Harvey was another key contributor, scoring eight points.
Noblesville's victory bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Westfield, their victory was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 5-0.
Noblesville skirted past Westfield 47-45 when the teams last played back in March. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was Westfield's Sam Bishop, who scored 19 points. Now that he won't be playing on Friday, will it be that much easier for Noblesville to walk away with another win? There's only one way to find out.
