Jonny Mcanerny Sets Career High in Rushing Yards
Starting off the list is Payson's Jonny McAnerny, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. On Friday McAnerny forced a fumble and made ten total tackles (2.0 for loss), good enough to also set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process. He showed off some serious burst, turning on the afterburners on one carry for 66 yards.
The victory (which was Payson's fourth in a row) raised their record to 7-1. McAnerny and Payson will challenge Valley Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
