Softball Recap: Ascension Christian Wins Going Away Against West Feliciana

While Ascension Christian put up plenty of runs on Tuesday, the same can't be said for West Feliciana. Ascension Christian put the hurt on West Feliciana with a sharp 16-0 victory. The result was nothing new for Ascension Christian, who have now won ten games by ten runs or more so far this season.

Marie Brignac made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Brignac was also big at the plate, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two doubles and two RBI. That's the most doubles she has posted since back in March.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Grace Aucoin, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in February. Lila Cate Leblanc was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing three bases while going 1-for-2.

Ascension Christian's win bumped their record up to 12-9-1. As for West Feliciana, they dropped their record down to 7-10 with the defeat, which was their third straight at home.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Ascension Christian will take on North Iberville at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for West Feliciana, they will challenge St. Joseph's Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
