The Cocalico Eagles had already proven themselves in the regular season, and didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They took down Cedar Cliff 31-13 on Friday. Cocalico is really starting to get used to good results now that the team's won 11 straight.
Aaryn Longenecker continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 148 yards and two touchdowns on only nine carries. Longenecker's longest rush was for an incredible 83 yards. Cocalico also got a significant boost from Josh Myer, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 93 yards.
Cocalico's victory was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 11-1. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 39.4 points per game. As for Cedar Cliff, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 10-2.
Cocalico will take on Ephrata at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Ephrata is coming into the contest hot, having won their last seven games. Cedar Cliff does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
