Baseball Recap: Catholic Central Starts Season with Win on the Road

Catholic Central had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They put the hurt on the Fairlawn Jets with a sharp 6-0 win on Friday. The Irish not only won on Friday, but they posted their biggest win since April 29, 2024.

The result came thanks to Ben Bramel's shutout, as he gave up just two hits and racked up 14 Ks.

On the hitting side, Berkeley Little was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing two bases while going 3-for-5. Brody Adams was another key player, scoring a run while going 2-for-5.

Looking ahead, Catholic Central will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they takes on West Jefferson at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Fairlawn, they have already played their next game, a 2-0 defeat against Stebbins on the 29th.
