Arlington's game on Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They walked away with a 3-1 win over the Malden Golden Tornados. This was payback for the Spy Ponders, who suffered a 3-1 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Arlington had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 23-25, 25-12, 25-20, 25-19.

Arlington has been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 11 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-6 record this season. As for Malden, they moved to 13-2 with that loss, which also ended their 12-game winning streak.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Arlington will take on Woburn Memorial at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Malden, they will venture away from home to take on Revere at 5:15 p.m. on Monday. The Patriots will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something the Golden Tornados surely won't give up without a fight.
