Taylor Wright made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run over five innings pitched. Wright was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with five RBI and two doubles. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in March.
In other batting news, Kaley Bell was excellent, going 2-for-4 with three RBI and two runs. Those three RBI gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Kaylee Brabham, who went 1-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.
Holly Hill Academy was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .387. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their batting average total in three consecutive matches.
Holly Hill Academy is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.3 runs over those games. As for King Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-3.
