There's no place like home for the Stamford Black Knights, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Friday. They walked away with a 51-39 win over New Canaan on Tuesday. Given Stamford's advantage in MaxPreps' Connecticut basketball rankings (they are ranked 17th, while the Rams are ranked 75th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Leading Stamford to victory were Ejai Presley and Ryan Connors. Presley scored 15 points, while Connors scored 16 points.
Stamford's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-3. As for New Canaan, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-7 record this season.
Stamford will head out on the road to square off against the Vikings at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Westhill has now lost nine straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 14. As for New Canaan, they will be playing at home against the Blue Wave at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
