Northwest is 7-0 against Azle since January of 2017, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. Northwest suffered their biggest loss since December 1, 2023 on Tuesday. They were outmatched by Brewer at home and fell 65-31. Northwest was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 36-14.
Meanwhile, Azle was beaten by Rider 58-26 on Tuesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat Azle has suffered against Rider since February 9, 2016.
Northwest has been struggling recently, as they've lost 13 of their last 14 matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-21 record this season. As for Azle, their defeat was their 12th straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 4-20.
Northwest didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Azle in their previous matchup on January 2nd, but they still walked away with a 41-36 victory.
