If Myrtle was feeling good fresh off their 16-0 takedown of Jumpertown last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Myrtle Hawks fell just short of the Washington Generals by a score of 6-5 on Monday. The Hawks' defeat signaled the end of their six-game winning streak.

Myrtle got a good showing from JJ Hall, who pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Hall has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Drew Stanton was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run while going 3-for-4. Another player making a difference was Wes Stanton, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

Myrtle's loss dropped their record down to 9-3. As for Washington, their record now sits at 10-3.
