The Kenston Forest Kavaliers will face off against the Greenbrier Christian Academy Gators at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Kenston Forest will be strutting in after a victory while Greenbrier Christian Academy will be coming in after a loss.
Kenston Forest is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They blew past Rappahannock County 47-8 on Friday. Given the Kavaliers' advantage in MaxPreps' Virginia football rankings (they are ranked eighth, while Rappahannock County are ranked 164th) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

Among those leading the charge was Devin Dunn, who rushed for 105 yards and one score on only five carries, and also threw for 42 yards and one touchdown. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in passer rating (147.9).
They were just one part of a punishing run game: Kenston Forest was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 361 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.
Kenston Forest didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Ransom Clark and Tine Sledd. Sledd got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.
Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 42-14, which was the final score in Greenbrier Christian Academy's tilt against Brunswick Academy on Friday. The matchup marked the Gators' lowest-scoring game so far this season.
Kenston Forest will need to focus on slowing down Tucker Basnight, one of several Greenbrier Christian Academy players who made an impact when they last played. He rushed for 121 yards, and also picked up 60 receiving yards and one TD. Basnight's rushing production has been exceptional for a while as that marked his 11th straight game with at least 121 rushing yards dating back to last season.
Kenston Forest's win ended a four-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 3-6. As for Greenbrier Christian Academy, their defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 4-5.
Kenston Forest was taken down by Greenbrier Christian Academy 62-18 in their previous meeting back in August of 2024. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of the Gators' Tyson Moravec, who rushed for 113 yards and four scores on only nine carries, and also picked up 53 receiving yards and one touchdown. Now that the Kavaliers know the damage he can cause, will they be able to stop him this time? There's only one way to find out.
