Flint Hill is ranked highly in their home state and   on Saturday they took on another highly ranked team in the form of The Academy of the Holy Cross. The Huskies fell just short of the Tartans by a score of  2-1.
 Hunter Ross paced Flint Hill's offense, picking up 14 kills. Ross got some help from  Ava Zender and her 18 assists.  Mandela Masimini controlled things from the service line, finishing with five aces.
 Leading The Academy of the Holy Cross to victory were  Kate Bickel and  Trinity Rowles.  Bickel  had nine  digs, while  Rowles  had 26  assists and four  digs. That's the most assists  Rowles has posted  over her last eight  matches.
Flint Hill now  has a losing record of 9-10-1. As for The Academy of the Holy Cross,  the  win made it two in a row for them and  bumps their season record up to 22-0-1.
 Coming up, Flint Hill will host Potomac School  at 5:30  p.m.  on Thursday. As for The Academy of the Holy Cross, they will head out to  take on Our Lady of Good Counsel  at 6:00  p.m.  on Wednesday.
